New Gallery Wall on Display! Come on down to the Museum to see the new gallery wall! The theme this year is ‘Man’s Best Friends’. Animals of all shapes and sizes and in many mediums will be on display for all of 2026.
America A-Z Exhibit! 2026 marks the Semi-Quincentennial, or the 250th Anniversary, of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. With over 100 artifacts, this exhibit tells stories of the history of the nation, with a La Porte County twist. This exhibit will be on display for all of 2026.
March 3-31: Women’s History Month! We are spotlighting several women of La Porte County on our Facebook page to celebrate Women’s History Month. Tune in every Friday to learn more about this amazing women!
March 21: Children’s Storytime & Activity at the Museum! Families are invited to meet for story time and an activity on Saturday, March 21st at 10:30am! Each month, Museum volunteers and staff will host a story time followed by a hands-on activity. Children of all ages are welcome. This is a FREE event for families. For March, we are focusing on trains!
March 21: Historical Society Meeting! Join us on Saturday, March 21 at 2:00pm for a presentation by Gary and Sandy Ashby titled ‘We Met at the White House: Our Service to Three Presidents’. All are welcome to attend this FREE event!
