Westville History Pop-Up Exhibit
Learn about the town of Westville in the first of our 'Towns of La Porte County Pop-Up' exhibits this year! Each month will feature a different pop-up exhibit highlighting a town within La Porte County! Highlights included Westville High School, local business, and local clubs.
New Gallery Wall Display
Come on down to the Museum to see the new gallery wall! Portraits from the museum's collection are displayed on the gallery wall. A binder is available to learn the stories behind these fascinating portraits.
Pioneer Land Spinners
On January 13th, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, the spinners from Pioneer Land will be spinning yarn from natural fibers at the Museum. They may even give you a try! These talented artisans usually spin in a barn at the La Porte County Fairgrounds, so it is a special opportunity to see them here! Come learn more about how pioneers made their textiles from

To celebrate the Westville Exhibit, all Westville residents and Westville High School graduates have free admission to the Museum!
La Porte County Historical Society Founding Day
January 30, 2023 marks 118 years of the Historical Society in La Porte County.
Black History Month Exhibit
For the month of February, we are celebrating black businesses and even more influential black residents of La Porte County this year. From local businesses to the fur-trader who founded Chicago, stories large and small are told in this exhibit! This exhibit closes on February 29.
