Historian of the Year Program

The La Porte County Historical Society will be presenting its annual awards for the “Historians of the Year” on Tuesday, September 16, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. The program will be held at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum at 7:00 PM. Honorees will be recognized for their work in helping to promote and preserve the history of La Porte County. The individual “Historian of the Year” will be Judge William Boklund, and the “Historian of the Past”, being honored posthumously, is Bill Swedenberg. The two county organizations being recognized for their many years of continuous service to the people of La Porte County are La Porte Little Theatre and La Porte Community Concerts. All society members and the public are welcome to attend the evening’s presentations. Refreshments will be available after the program.
