Hobart M. Cable Piano Company

The Hobart M. Cable Company was named for its founder and was located on Factory Street in La Porte. Modine Manufacturing occupied some of the original Cable factory buildings in more recent years. Cable was in business from 1903 to 1933, and built an average of 20 pianos a day. The workers were highly skilled and were well paid for the day.
