Curtiss Biplane

This photo was taken July 4, 1920 in a field southwest of La Porte. The man on the left is Walter F. Behrndt, and on the right is Frank R. Kemp. Mr. Kemp was the owner of the plane. They took passengers up for $1 per minute or $15 per ride. The plane is a Curtiss biplane. Frank Kemp was involved in 5 crashes in his life, but died a natural death in 1965.
