Historical Photo for October, 2008           Michigan Avenue traffic.

This photograph shows Wentworth Wile in his buggy on Michigan Avenue in La Porte.  The exact date

is unknown, but it probably dates to 1890 or so.  Notice the lack of street paving.  The house in the background is 1602 Michigan Ave., the Winn home, still standing today at the southwest corner of Michigan and South Avenues.
